INTRODUCTION TO OTHERWISE

As readers know DOODAH is primarily about dementia, sometimes technical, sometimes personal and full of what I hope is useful info.  Not just connecting with those who already have the disease or are carers but also with those who are potential candidates which, as it turns out, could be virtually anybody.

But we’re now in completely unforeseen and unprecedented territory and it would be ridiculous to carry on regardless.  Covid19 is affecting everybody in all sorts of different ways.  To say we’re in a state of chaos, confusion and fear for the future about sums up how many of us feel.  For this reason I’ve decided to devote this new section to my efforts to pass on site addresses and articles that offer a different perspective to that of the mainstream.

There is no question that the Internet is a gift that is as fantastic as it is dangerous.  All sorts of misinformation finds its way into our heads, doesn’t it?  But, who is to say what is misinformation?  Can we ever know the truth of something?  Even if we are a party to an event, there can be differences in how we view it – witness statements in court can be notoriously varied when it comes to giving evidence.  The point I’m making here is that we are all open to being deceived and perhaps the only way to get a balanced consensus is to look at an issue holistically, from all points of view.  This is where alternative media platforms come in.

I am a follower of independent investigative journalism and there are loads of sites online.  Sites run by passionate people who, for the most part, spend virtually all their time digging up obscure information, reading endless articles and scientific papers in an effort to join up the dots and present us with in-depth information.

If their reporting goes against the official narrative, these people are often branded conspiracy theorists. A term probably created by wrongdoers to discredit anyone who challenges their activity. Very clever but too many conspiracy theories have now proven to be true.  No-one is going to come up with a conspiracy theory about good works!  I’m not saying there aren’t conspiracy theories and some are totally dotty but, like false flag events, they frequently come out, sometimes years later, as truths.

So what OTHERWISE aims to do is to present links to a wide range of articles, podcasts and videos dealing with this pandemic, all that goes with it and predictions for the future post virus, if that time ever comes.  It will then be up to readers whether they decide to have a listen or a look and, if they do, how much credence they’re prepared to give to the points of view that are presented.  Occasionally I might write a short piece myself, but mostly OTHERWISE will look a bit like TWITTER.

HOWEVER, there will be one big difference – I WILL NOT BE PROMOTING THE SITES I PASS ON OR, BY POSTING THEM, IMPLY I AGREE WITH WHAT THEY ARE PUTTING FORWARD.  I will merely act as a conduit, hence:

DISCLAIMER

This page contains links to other websites or content belonging to or originating from third parties.  These links are for information only and are not monitored or checked for accuracy by the creator of this blog nor should they be interpreted as the opinion of the creator.   The creator will not take responsibility should the information presented be considered in any way offensive or inflammatory.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER and I believe the information upon which we decide to form our opinions, should be as comprehensive as possible and include independent views from across the alternative spectrum.  These ‘reporters’ rarely have an agenda and most depend on donations to fund their research and, as such, deserved to be listened to, even if we decide what they have to say is false.

I hope readers will find the items I link to thought-provoking as well as interesting and, in some case, useful as wake-up calls.
